- Local-First Processing: All encoding/decoding operations happen in your browser
- Explicit Consent: Any data sharing requires explicit user action
- Transparency: We are clear about what data exists and where it lives
What Data We Collect
Analytics (Ahrefs Web Analytics)
- What: Anonymous page views, referring URLs, browser type, device type
- Where: Sent to Ahrefs servers for analytics processing
- Why: To understand how users discover and use our tools
- Retention: As per Ahrefs data retention policy
- User Control: Analytics cannot be disabled, but no personal information is collected
User Content
- What: Text, files, and settings you enter into the tools
- Where: Stored locally in your browser only (IndexedDB and localStorage)
- Why: To provide conversion history and restore previous work
- Retention: Stays in your browser until you clear it
- User Control: You can clear browser storage at any time
What We DON'T Collect
- ❌ No user accounts or registration
- ❌ No server-side storage of your conversions
- ❌ No cookies for tracking
- ❌ No email addresses or personal information
- ❌ No third-party advertising networks
- ❌ No sale of user data
Data Flows
Tool Usage (e.g., Morse Code, Base64, etc.)
- You enter text/file in your browser
- JavaScript processes it client-side
- Results display in your browser
- Optionally saved to browser's IndexedDB for history
- Nothing is sent to our servers
Page Analytics
- You visit a page
- Ahrefs Analytics script records anonymous page view
- Data sent to Ahrefs servers
- We review aggregate analytics (no individual tracking)
Your Rights
- Access: All your data is in your browser - inspect it via browser DevTools
- Deletion: Clear browser storage to remove all local data
- Portability: Export your history if the tool provides it
- No Account Needed: No registration means no account data to manage
